Autism class - swimming lessons with Sport Ireland
These lessons cater for autistic children from 4 years of age to teens. The lesson is structured in a way that suits the development of the child.
There is an adult in the water with the child. Having the adult in the water allows the child to feel supported. This will also teach the adult supports and holds that they can take with them wherever they go. This structure allows a strong bond to be created between child and adult in a more relaxed quieter environment under the watchful eye of our Swim Ireland Level 2 for Autism qualified teachers.
In the class, the child will learn the fundamentals, and core aquatic skills.
- 4-10 years Autism Class: Tuesdays, 3-3.30pm
- Teen Autism Class: Thursdays, 7.45-8.25pm
