Pétanque - Griffeen Valley Park
ACTIVE Cities in partnership with South Dublin County Sports Partnership and South Dublin County Council, launched South Dublin County’s first public Pétanque Court in Griffeen Valley Park in 2023.
Pétanque is sometimes called boules. It is one of the most inclusive activities available where people of all ages, gender, ability and fitness can play equally together.
The new Pétanque Court offers adults and children, of all abilities, a wonderful new openair facility in their community.
The club play on Sundays at 12pm (weather permitting). The club have some boules for you to try the game. Minimum age for playing is nine years old. For anyone under 18 who wishes to play, they would need a parent or guardian with them. Please message the club via its Facebook page if you need further information.
