Special Olympics
The Special Olympics runs a Young Athletes Programme which is a play and sports activity programme for children from 4 to 12 years with an intellectual disability. It introduces children to a wide variety of play activities in a familiar, supportive and fun environment where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.
The Special Olympics Eastern Region is your point of contact for enquiries on local clubs near you. It covers Counties Dublin, Wicklow (Glencullen, Enniskerry, Greystones, Bray, Ashford, Rathnew, Brittas Bay, Rathdrum and Arklow) and Kildare (Leixlip, Celbridge and Maynooth).
For all other parts of Kildare (except Leixlip, Celbridge and Maynooth) and Wicklow (Blessington, Dunlavin, Donard, Baltinglass, Grangecon, Rathangan, Kiltegan, Tinahely, Coolboy and Shillelagh), see also the Leinster Region contact page.
